Background:
In December 1900, Daimler Motors delivered their first series of vehicles to Emil Jellinek. In the following year the model was christened after Jellinek's daughter Mercedes and first took part in car races " with surprising success. This marked the birth of the Mercedes brand, and the 100th anniversary of the brand was a reason for a communication event. A perfect opportunity to document the significance of the brand at present and in the future.
Automobile positioning values like quality, fascination and innovation form the backbone that characterises a brand as authentic, fascinating, visionary and passionate. Personal experiences, personalities and staff at all levels are the prerequisite for such an "enduring passion". During the past 100 years they have contributed passion and forward-looking ideas which have resulted in decisive developments and technological advancements in the automobile industry as a whole.
Agency assignment:
Initially, the agency was commissioned to plan, organise and run the assigned press conference. The agenda of the day event included appearances by various top management members of DaimlerChrysler AG to initiate the jubilee celebrations as was due the occasion.
