COMMPANY goes global in four languages

Prior to the beginning of the FIFA World Cup 2006, one winner has already been established! Last year, Frankfurt agency COMMPANY was commissioned by Germany's leading chemicals company BASF and TRUMPF, world market leader in laser technology and in the engineering industry, to provide customer care for a total of fifty national and international visitor groups during the World Cup.

Moreover, COMMPANY was to design customised supporting programmes for each of the 50 groups, depending on the respective duration of stay and country-specific requirements. This gave the Frankfurt team the ideal opportunity to apply its intercultural competence. Following the perfect preparations for the Japanese contingent, BASF commissioned COMMPANY with the customer care of all its guests from a total of 22 nations.

Internationalism, believes Mario M. Flaschentraeger, COMMPANY's General Manager, is a key to success in today's event industry. With increasing globalisation of brands and markets, intercultural competence is at the core of agencies' concept work. For COMMPANY, this certainly seems to hold true: established as an entirely nationally-oriented events specialist in 1989, today the agency and its around ten full-time employees generate 60% of turnover abroad. The event agency has an established foothold in the events market with its own subsidiary in Moscow and additional network offices in Hungary, Lithuania, Italy, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland and several other countries.

COMMPANY is without doubt breaking new ground. "Instead of treading worn paths and products, we are always on the lookout for new challenges, especially when it comes to convincing customers to brave something new " whether concept-wise, location-wise or simply by applying different implementation methods," says Mario M. Flaschentraeger. The passionate events manager constantly pursues his dogma and recently travelled to South Korea, a potential new destination for his portfolio. He found there a country with ample room for new discoveries, thus offering great potential for incentives and management conferences. The apparent contradiction of tradition and economic power he experienced there is exemplary for the explosive acceleration of Asia's economy.
